This Privacy Policy explains how Arcaloria (“Arcaloria”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you access or use our website, applications, and related services (the “Service”).

Advertising measurement is optional. Using the Service does not itself mean that you consent to Meta or Google advertising trackers.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: display name, email address, and authentication identifiers used to create and manage your account.
  • Reading data: reading progress, last-read title, volume, and page to synchronize progress across devices when you are signed in.
  • Usage data: limited technical information such as device type, browser type, operating system, general location (city/region), pages viewed, and interactions with the Service.
  • Payment information: subscriptions are processed by our payment provider Stripe. Arcaloria does not store full credit card numbers or payment details.
  • Cookies & local storage: preferences such as theme, reading mode, zoom level, and login session.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate the Service.
  • Sync reading progress across devices.
  • Process subscriptions and payments.
  • Improve performance, reliability, and usability.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We may share limited information with trusted service providers that help operate the Service, including hosting providers, infrastructure services, database providers, analytics services, and payment processors.

These providers are contractually required to use the information only to perform services on our behalf and to protect user data.

We may also disclose information when required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data where applicable.

5. Cookies, Advertising Measurement & Your Choices

Strictly necessary cookies and browser storage keep you signed in, protect your account, provide subscription access, and save reading settings. These do not require advertising consent.

If you opt in, we use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads measurement technology to understand visits, account registrations, and subscriptions connected to our advertising. These partners may receive technical information and identifiers relating to these interactions. Advertising tags stay off unless you give permission. Refusing does not prevent you from using Arcaloria or viewing our own reader ads.

You can accept, refuse, or change your advertising preference at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer. We remember your decision for up to six months, after which we ask again. Withdrawing consent stops future advertising tracking on our website; it cannot retroactively undo information already received by a partner.

We also operate first-party advertisements within the reader and record limited impression/click information for their operation and reporting. These are separate from Meta and Google advertising trackers. Browser settings can also restrict storage, although disabling essential storage may affect some features.

6. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country or jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than those in your location.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect user information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts or knowingly collect personal information from minors through account registration.

10. Business Transfers

If Arcaloria is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, the Effective Date above will be updated. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
